Each booked day includes accommodation, up to eight hours of recording, use of the mixing console and listed studio equipment, session setup, technical support, basic song mixes and copies of the individual recorded tracks.

Recording sessions normally run from 10am until 6pm, providing up to eight hours of studio time each day. A later start may be arranged in advance.

Additional studio time may be available at £15 per hour. Extra hours are subject to Grace’s availability and discretion.

General Manager Grace Dollard will prepare the equipment, set up the microphones and oversee the recording process. She will discuss your plans and technical requirements with you before your visit.

Yes. Bands are welcome to bring their own instruments, amplifiers. Please tell Grace what you intend to bring before your arrival.

The studio provides a Tascam mixing console, active monitors, microphones, amplifiers, a drum kit and a selection of instruments. Visit the Kit List page for full details.

Yes. The studio offers isolated drum recording and has a Ludwig drum kit, Paiste cymbals and cast hi-hats available. Please discuss your preferred setup before arrival.

Yes. You will receive a basic mix of each recorded song together with the individual recorded tracks.

No. We will supply a suitable flash drive with enough storage capacity for all the recordings from your session.

No. Dates displayed as available remain subject to confirmation. Your booking is not confirmed until you have received confirmation directly from The Cottage Studio.

The studio is located near Inveraray in Argyll, on the shores of Loch Fyne. Full travel information can be supplied once your stay has been arranged.
